About Sisal
Sisal is a naturally strong and hardwearing fibre extracted from the Agave Sisalana plant that grows in the arid regions of East Africa and Brazil.
Traditionally used for making ropes sisal's uniquely tactile quality makes it a popular choice for luxurious home furnishings. The fleshy leaves are cut by hand then crushed and washed to remove impurities.The remaining fibres are dried and graded ready to be spun into yarn.
